U of T celebrates Geoffrey Hinton’s Nobel Prize
President Gertler spoke at an event celebrating the surpassing of the three-quarters milestone in the University’s Boundless campaign. He announced that (at that point) the campaign had raised $1.594 billion of its $2-billion goal. The event was co-hosted by the President, the Chancellor, The Honourable Michael Wilson, and George Myhal, who is a member of the University’s overall Campaign Executive and Chair of Engineering’s Campaign Executive Committee. It featured a lively panel discussion on innovation and entrepreneurship among U of T faculty, students, and alumni.
