At 1:00 PM ET on Wednesday, January 15th, Canada’s universities will observe a moment of silence to honour all those who lost their lives in the devastating crash of Ukraine International Airlines flight 752.
It has been widely noted that many of the passengers on this flight were university students, faculty, researchers, alumni, and other members of Canada’s academic community. This heartbreaking loss is truly a national tragedy.
I invite you to join in this gesture of national solidarity and shared grief, one week after the crash, either together or individually, wherever you might find yourself across our three campuses.
