Priorities & Commitments

The University’s strategic priorities and commitments are advancing U of T’s vision and mission to be a catalyst for social well-being, prosperity, and vitality in our communities.

The University of Toronto’s strategic priorities provide a framework around three areas of focus for the U of T community. The three priorities are our commitment to achieving the goals set out in the University’s Towards 2030 plan.

Motivated by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the University of Toronto recognizes the crucial and unique role universities play in helping to meet the global challenges of sustainability.

The President of the University of Toronto has established a Presidential Advisory Committee on Principles to Guide Recognition and Commemoration. The Advisory Committee will be responsible for articulating high-level principles to inform decisions on commemoration and naming. All members of the U of T community will be given the opportunity to engage with the Advisory Committee to provide feedback and are encouraged to do so.
