U of T’s Black History Month Luncheon 2025
President Gertler attended the annual MasterCard Foundation Scholars Dinner, in honour of the Foundation’s leadership and the scholarship winners from Africa who are studying at U of T. Several members of the first cohort of Scholars are now preparing to graduate, and one of them, Vanessa Bart-Plange, who spoke at the first annual dinner as part of the original cohort, shared her plans post-graduation with the gathering. Following the tradition that has been established, the newest Scholars were given gifts to welcome them to the U of T community, to Toronto, and to Canada.
