U of T celebrates Geoffrey Hinton’s Nobel Prize
Dr. Rose Patten, O.C., was installed as the 34th Chancellor of the University during the opening Fall Convocation ceremony, at which graduating students in the Faculty of Arts and Science received their degrees. The event included the senior leadership of the University, including President Meric Gertler, Governing Council Chair Claire Kennedy, UTAA President Scott MacKendrick, and Chancellors emeriti the Honourable Michael Wilson and the Honourable Henry N.R. Jackman, as well as representatives of the estates of the University and dignitaries from universities across Ontario.
