U of T’s Black History Month Luncheon 2025
Dr. William Downe received the degree Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, as a tribute to his career as a globally respected banker, his outstanding commitment to enhancing diversity and inclusion in corporate Canada, and his steadfast support of education and healthcare. Dr. Downe is also a volunteer leader at the University, where he serves as a member of the advisory board of the Martin Prosperity Institute at the Rotman School of Management.
